Sunday Dander – The Circuit of Portstewart

It being a Sunday and there being a big yellow thing in some blue sky, I took myself off for a dander at 9:30 this morning. I took with me my new “birthday toy” a bridge camera, not quite and SLR and not quite a compact. (Tis a Fuji S1500) Now I am not a photographer by any stretch of the imagination and talk of Apertures, F-Stops and ASA numbers is still a bit of a mystery, however my trusty Sony Ericsson phone which has been taking my walkies snaps I had sort of run out of puff with. It took reasonable piccies but not the piccies I wanted to take. Various people who “Know” about these things said I needed a camera that did a little bit more.

Anyhows I digress the Circuit of Portstewart is a 7 miler that starts in the car park behind the harbour, down along the Prom, around the nun’s cliff walk, along the beach to the Barmouth, out to the end of the pier then back along the beach, up past the golf course, up to the Coleraine Road, down the prom and then back to the car. There is a very nice picture of the route here on the truely wonderful WalkJogRun.Net

T’was a lovely dander, if a bit breezy and not all that warm but 7 miles in 2:10 is not that bad and here is the first batch of piccies from my new camera.
